Human body

We started to study the human body. the smallest body unit to the largest is molecules, organelles, cells, tissues, organs, systems and organisms. There are numerous systems in the human body, including the skeletal system, which is in charge of maintaining body structure and protects organs, muscular system, which is in charge of movements, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, , nervous system, endocrine system, integument system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, immune system, and reproductive system. Now, we are diving into the digestive system.
Food enters the oral cavity, goes through pharynx and esophagus to go into stomach. It then enters small intestine and then large intestine and goes out. Carbohydrates are digested by salivary amylase in oral cavity, pancreatic amylase in lumen and disaccharidases by epithelium. Proteins are digested by pepsin in the stomach, pancreatic trypsin, pancreatic carboxypeptidases and chymotrypsin in lumen and dipeptidases, carboxypeptidases and aminopeptidases by epithelium. DNA and RNA are digested by pancreatic nucleases in lumen and nucleotidases, nucleosidases and phosphatases by epithelium. Fat is digested by bile salt and pancreatic lipase in lumen.
